Fire hazard in Florida
Hurricane Irma left a lot of scattered tree branches / twigs / leaves which are now being raked up and piled everywhere. This is a serious situation as they have had enough time to dry out. The piles I see around my neighborhood are ten feet tall and if ignited will become an out of control forest fire. Everybody should do controlled burns as soon as possible. Help get the word out. Thanks in advance.

RE: Fire hazard in Florida
Mostly people are relying on the idea that their local city / county waste disposal services will collect and dispose of the debris. Fact of the matter is that we are overwhelmed and people need to subscribe to common sense. Do what you can do rather then leaving it up someone else.

Please make sure your controller burns are completely extinguished. Make sure to never leave a fire unattended. Stir your controlled burns till there is no more heat / hot amber / hot coals. Make sure to put your fire out.
