RE: Angel father
Yes, it was called Angel Feather (not father) and I think I had mentioned (somewhere) I think I have found Petermaria's source, I have also messed with something.... Oh Mira! in which that feather comes up often!

Append: Speaking of PeterMaria, have you heard from him since your forum went down?
He didn't seem like he was doing well after his wife died. Only posting once or twice after...

He was fun to play with short snippets almost daily.

RE: Angel father
It is cool to see the extended parts of the pattern pulsating around like feathers.
I remember playing around with some code I found in a book years ago that produced that pattern, minus the feathers, back on the Apple ][c computer. It took a moment to draw one frame. But there again, we are talking about a 1MHZ machine with 64K of memory (128K extended if you were lucky).

It's amazing how far computers have come since then, but it is even more amazing that they are not better. They say it takes 20 years before a new technology to hit the market, and it still holds true today with a lot of products.

Back in the early 90's (1993 to be exact), I ready an article in a computer magazine that talked about this new technology coming called "DVD". But the three companies that were manufacturing it was in a huge debate on what size to make it. The choices that had to choose from were: 1GB, 2GB, 4.7GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. None of them couldn't agree on the starting size of the DVD.

Skip ahead 24 years and what do we have? A lot actually. Today, we can purchase a 128GB blu-ray disk and burner.

How about a 200GB Blu-Ray disk?

http://pietschsoft.com/post/2004/08/24/H...atile-Disc

Sony announced in 2010 that they were working on a 1TB and greater blu-ray disk with just two layers. If they add more layers to it, then it can be much more. For example, if they use 16 layers as in other compact disk setups, then they could produce an 8TB blu-ray disk.

Cheers!

My goal is to bring joy, excitement, fun and education to all computer programming hobbyists, tinkerers, and amateurs. I also enjoy helping and working with those who aspire at becoming masters of their craft.
