CAINE Computer Forensics Linux Live Distro

I Wonder if Michael Caine had anything to do with this Linux Disto ? Smile  as he made a Fantastic and Favourite film of mine called (Sleuth) (The Original-1972)...

(Michael Caine) is a highly successful mystery writer living in a beautiful and technologically advanced mansion in England. Milo Tindle is an unsuccessful actor with decidedly less to show for his professional exploits. The lives of these two men cross paths when Andrew's wife leaves him for the younger Milo. Hoping to carry out a cleverly constructed revenge plot, Andrew invites Milo to his estate, where elaborate mind games ensue.

One of Michael Caine's Famous Quotes "You are only supposed to Blow the Bloody Doors off!"

From the film (The Italian Job) (The Original -1969)

RE: CAINE Computer Forensics Linux Live Distro
im sitting here chuckling, that is absolutely hysterical.

michael caine is getting tired of michael caine impressions. he even does one himself he says. he makes this face and says in the most stupid way possible "hi, im michael caine." theres a scene in "the trip" (or is it the sequel?) where steve coogan and rob brydon have a sort of michael caine battle or argument about how to impersonate him, its priceless. (they do the blow the bloody doors off line, too.) be sure to work on your own michael caine impression-- for science!

Michael Caine is one of my favorite actors. He does such a excellent job in everything he does. He is one of the few that can get into any character instantly, and does a perfect job at it. Michael Caine is at the top of this category right along side of Gary Oldman. They are the only two I am aware of that can perform this feat as perfectly, quickly, and smoothly as they do.

RE: CAINE Computer Forensics Linux Live Distro
the secret to british acting is the actually do "acting." american actors frequently try to "become" their character, get in their head, experience what its like to be them...

its all a waste of effort. british actors literally just imitate the way their characters would act. yes, you have to learn how to do it well, and practice, but its just acting. and sometimes the effect is a lot more convincing and less cheesy. sometimes-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_4LtBDCUEg

RE: CAINE Computer Forensics Linux Live Distro
FigOsDev,

You hit the proverbial nail on the head! Again!

When I took acting in school, I was taught to become the character, to think like they would, to experience what it is like to be them.

I will have to agree you that actors should act as the character without trying to fully become the character. I think it overwhelms their creativity and hinders their performance. That is why some of the best parts in movies are where the actors improvise in the scene. They understand the character enough to try new things with them, and it usually is for the better.

It is amazing how many things the people in this time period get involved with. As you can see, not only have I done a lot of things in my life, but I also have a liking for many things. Just look at the types of jobs I have had in the past! From computer technician, to rebuilding alternators, starters, and generators. I have driven forklifts, welded (TIG & MIG), was in the Military, worked in construction doing just about everything (sheetrock, plumbing, basic electrical wiring, carpets, cabinets, and I dabbled in interior decorating [help the owner more than designing, but I learned a lot like how to hand sew professionally], and the list goes on and on), I managed a gas station, worked in fast food restaurants, worked as cashier in many retail stores, and I worked in the flower department at a local store. Oh, let's not forget about the printing company I work for where I do all the artwork for our clients. I have done many other things as well, but they are not as important to my knowledge like working in a chicken house.

The reason I bring all that up is the fact that the more open up about ourselves, the more I see I am not the only one who has dabbled in various things in their life. That is just fascinating to me.

Oh, speaking of construction, I built my own tree house when I was 12 years old, all by myself. I had several books on construction and I was fascinated with it. I always thought I would work in construction when I grew up until I fell in love with computer programming.

when i was 4 i wanted to be a chemist, though i suck at math too much for that. i was disappointed to learn that you couldnt do chemistry just by trial and error (and reading about known information about chemicals.)

i mean you probably could, but i learned programming shortly after that and high school kind of took the fun out of chemistry for me.

FigOsDev,

i am with you on the chemistry part too.  One of my cousins had a chemistry set that was very impressive, but when he explained to me what you had to know to try things, without killing yourself, I was too impatient for that kind of stuff. Then when I started learning about chemical properties in school, I was not very interested in the subject. Now days, however, I wish I had attempted to learn a little bit about it, because it seems to be very interesting.

(Oh look! Something that Walter can't do! Big Grin)

I was also interested in Chemistry of a kind...

I used to get a Plastic test tube then fill it 3/4 full with Beechams powder and a 1/4 water then put the cap on Shake it up and get the hell out of the area as quick as possible...a minute or two later it would explode into the air! like a mini Bomb Smile
