Truck driver by day programmer by night
Yes, I drive a big rig for a living.
No, I don't have time to code, daw-gon-it.

Hello people. I am the author of FbCadCam, a FreeBASIC project (just for the fun of it).

In the past I have had the pleasure of time. Living a simple and humble life. I had time to program and what a time it was. I would write code for days on end. Writing fbcad was really fun.

Then I got my cdl and started a new career driving big rigs.
Some of the places I get to go are spectacular. I love this work.

Since I joined this forum I have traveled from:
May to June 10th I can't find at the moment but...
6-10-17 Memphis, TN
6-11-17 Horn Lake, MS
6-12-17 Lee's Summit, MO
6-13-17 Kansas City, MO
6-14-17 Columbus, OH
6-15-17 Ridgeway, SC
6-16-17 Denton, TX
6-16-17 Humble, TX
6-17-17 Orlando, FL
6-17-17 Atlanta, GA
6-19-17 Houston, TX
6-20-17 Irving, TX
6-21-17 Hermiston, OR
6-22-17 Fife, WA
6-25-17 Harrisburg, PA
6-25-17 Baltimore, MD
6-26-17 East Point, GA
6-27-17 Chicago, IL
6-28-17 Grove Port, OH
6-29-17 Folcroft, PA
6-29-17 New Castle, DE

The trip into Oregon and Washington then across Idaho, Montana, Wyoming to PA was the best.

Hey Owen!

Back in early 90's I worked in shipping/receiving. I used to have coolest conversations about BASIC programming with one of the drivers that delivered dies and picked up parts.
I remember giving him a 3.5" floppy of some useful routines I used.

In the office that would be called the sneaker net. So what can we call your 90's net, road net?

Road net works for me, right now I wish I had a need for a fishing net.

It's that time again. Time to get back to work. I made it home in time to celebrate the 4th of July and my kid's birthday. While at home, after finishing my honey do list of course, I thought to write a physics engine for a game. I wanted to write it from scratch rather then reusing a library.

I really enjoy programming as it affords a canvas in which I am able to express myself. Needless to say, I have ran out of time. I wanted to share my code but it's not worth sharing yet.

RE: Truck driver by day programmer by night
Owen,

I haven't thought about that in years, but that is exactly the reason I enjoy computer programming. Computer programming allows me to express myself in many ways. That is why I love creating so many demos.

Physics... A very important part of game developement and computer animations.

You got me thinking again on how I might need to expand this forum a bit more to add an educational section to it.

Thanks.
