EVAL with Booleans

RE: EVAL with Booleans
it was there all along. it took me almost as long to find it as it took you-- you can actually code it by hand like in other forums, but unlike other forums you wont get the results of using it unless js is enabled.

incidentally, the one suggestion of yours i would DEFINITELY change next year is documentations multiplier is 1. everything else counts for 2 or more times. as you won and you think documentation should count for more, its now x2 instead of x1, unless i get a lot of nonsense about it. not just because you won-- because i agree with you, it should probably count for more. so now instead of the lowest score being 10 and the highest possible score being 50, its 11 at the bottom and 55 at the top. that doesnt mean your other ideas are off the table, it means one is accepted (as far as my own say goes. i dont know if walt is going to take over or what... but he and i will talk) and thanks for the welcome.

p.s.: windows is (supposedly) including ansi support now. this means the worst part of installing fig in windows may very soon be a non-issue (but they will probably muck it up somehow. im not getting too excited.) i know you think installing python is the worst part, but really, thats the only other part thats required. meanwhile im trying to get fig working on a powerpc running an older version of python. (2.5.x)

Oh Windows has something major coming, they have recently queried me on my privacy settings.

Have you heard about Paint 3d and how Windows is setting up a gaming environment, all connected to their store of course.

I feel a cold wind of change blowing...

RE: EVAL with Booleans
i dont follow windows, news finds me. im friends with one of the best windows techs there is. hes the only windows tech i take seriously, and also the first. is he good? hes absolutely beyond amazing. what can he fix? practically anything. if youve seen the movie coneheads, hes like beldar.

that said, he is a microsoft fan. we dont agree on stuff. his perspective is useful and somewhere out there there are people even better than him at what he does, but ive never met one. anything i cant fix myself id throw away or take to him for advice or to hire him, though i cant afford his professional hours.

BPLUS, didn't mean to leave you out in the cold, I've been out of town, but I'm back, I've downloaded your latest and I'm reading through them, I hadn't considered booleans at all so that's an interesting wrinkle to look at.  So far, so good.

RE: EVAL with Booleans
Thanks phred,

I have to remind that they are not true Booleans but only double precision 0 or 1 values that can be easily used to represent true and false.

I do have half an idea how to adopt this code to return multiple types (but not user defined) if the need arises.
